Ongoing Funding Opportunities

The following foundations have application deadlines that reoccur throughout the year:

CIGNA Foundation Grants

U.S.-based nonprofit organizations seeking support for programs that enhance the health of individuals and families and the well-being of our communities may be eligible to receive a CIGNA Foundation Grant. After reviewing the information below, representatives of these organizations are invited to initiate a Grant Application.

Please note that while there are no geographic restrictions, preference is given to those locations where CIGNA has a significant presence. Similarly, although there are no restrictions on amount of funds requested, $5000 is considered a typical grant, particularly for first-time recipients. Decisions are made on an ongoing basis; there is no deadline for receipt of applications, although all funds are distributed on an annual basis by November 30th.

General Grant applications are accepted on a rolling basis for review by the Trustees. Only organizations located in Frederick County, Maryland or serving Frederick County residents are eligible to receive a General Grant. Grants may be awarded with or without a challenge matching funds component.
